(A)

Activated Charcoal: Activated charcoal is extremely useful for acne and blemish skin conditions without being drying. It absorbs into the skin’s pores and draws out toxins, impurities and dirty oils.

Aloe Vera: In addition to being deeply hydrating, aloe vera is a natural anti-inflammatory and stimulates the growth of new cells. Aloe is soothing and can effectively heal chronic skin problems such as psoriasis, acne and eczema. Aloe is also anti-aging, containing antioxidants like beta-carotene, vitamin C and E that help improve the skin’s natural firmness and hydration. 

Algae: Comprised of Irish moss and giant kelp, algae provides antioxidants and helps detoxify the skin. It has essential fatty acids that improves the skin’s elasticity. The carbohydrates in algae stimulate the skin’s ability to heal. Algae moisturizes and supplies the skin with natural minerals and vitamins. Irish Moss specifically has been used as “a miracle medical cure” for thousands of years, as it is thought to be good for dry skin conditions such as psoriasis, eczema and dermatitis. 

Apple Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA): Alpha Hydroxy Acids are naturally isolated from fruits. AHAs loosen the surface layers of dead cells by breaking down their with our healthy skin so our body can shed them, in turn promoting cellular renewal. 

Apple Stem Cell: Apple Stem Cell has tremendous ability to rejuvenate aging skin. By stimulating aging skin stem cells, this plant extract has shown to increase the longevity of skin cells and lessen the appearance of wrinkles. 

Ashwagandah: Ashwagandah is the most vital herb in Ayurveda due to it’s miraculous powers. It contains high levels of antioxidants that dissolve free radicals, fighting signs of aging like wrinkles, dark spots, fine lines and blemishes. It also protects the skin from cancer. 

Argan Oil: Argan Oil neutralizes free radicals, stimulates cellular exchanges and improves intercellular material. It’s also an excellent source of vitamin E.

Argireline Peptide: Argireline is made up of peptides, which are chains of amino acids that can affect how cells in the body work. When Argireline is applied to the skin, it is absorbed into the body. The chemical composition causes the facial muscles to contract with less force. This diminishes the appearance of wrinkles and can smooth out fine lines that appear with aging. It is called the “natural botox”.

Bentonite Clay: Named after Fort Benton, Wyoming where it was first discovered, Bentonite clay is a powdery substance formed when volcanic ash has weathered, or when it is exposed to water. It contains iron, magnesium, calcium or sodium. It helps to reduce acne by minimizes the production of sebum and helps to tighten pores. It is detoxifying and is very helpful in removing dead skin cells. It is also believed to be helpful in the flair-ups of psoriasis and eczema. 

Beet Powder: Beets are rich in skin-enhancing nutrients and are very effective for oily and acne prone skin. Drinking beetroot juice regularly helps to prevent acne and pimples and has anti-inflammatory properties. It is a rich source of iron, vitamins and minerals, and will leave give skin a healthy glow. 

Billberry Extract:  Billberry is great for skin because it is packed with antioxidants that prevent and help fight infection, keeping the skin clean and reducing breakouts and spots. The antioxidants found in Bilberry also help to combat signs of aging, as well as hydrates the skin and stimulates blood circulation. 

Blue Green Algae: Because blue green algae is high in proteins and fatty acids, it helps lift and tone the skin. The fatty acids work down deep to help firm and tighten. It contains aphanizomenon flos-aquae (AFA), which is packed with protein and minerals and helps produce collagen. 

Broccoli Oil: Deeply moisturizing, broccoli oil provides ultimate skin hydration. It is a powerful antioxidant containing vitamins A, C, E and beta-carotene. These antioxidants help to fight free radicals while reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and pigmentation. It also provides protection against UV radiation by controlling the redness medically known as erythema and significantly reduces the risk of skin cancer.

Chaparral Leaf Extract:  Chaparral leaf extract is known to have purifying and antioxidant properties, which are useful for any skin type. It has been used by Mexican herbalists for healing eczema and other kinds of skin irritation and inflammation. 

Cranberry Enzyme:  Cranberries have such a high vitamin C content that they were traditionally used by sea captains to prevent scurvy. The active fruit enzymes help to exfoliate dull, devitalized skin. Cranberries are high in antioxidants and contain excellent infection fighting properties. 

Cranberry Seed Oil: High in antioxidants, cranberries and their seeds are great at protecting the skin from environmental stressors. It has a perfect ratio of omega-3 to omega-6 fatty acids, which means it absorbs well into the skin, giving great hydration. It also means the skin is more likely to soak up the potent antioxidants, vitamin E and other nutrients in the oil. 

Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10): CoQ10 is a naturally produced enzyme in the human body and is found in every cell and tissue. CoQ10 is involved in a number of biological functions including neutralizing free radicals and keeping cells healthy. As people age, CoQ10 levels decrease impeding its ability to produce collagen and elastin. As an ingredient, CoQ10 penetrates deeply to provide antioxidants and helps create collagen and elastin thus fighting signs of aging. 

Chlorella: Chlorella helps improve the production of collagen. It also improves skin problems that occur due to the formulation of new blood vessels, including psoriasis, rosacea and general redness. The antioxidants in Chlorella may protect skin cells from accelerated aging brought on by skin damaging free radicals and sun damage.

Dandelion Root:  An excellent detoxifier, dandelion root is great for treating sensitive skin types including acne prone, and eczema. It’s high in vitamin C making it a powerful antioxidant. The root is particularly rich in mineral concentration. These minerals hydrate the tissues and support skin functions. It is also anti-fungal and germicidal with high alkaline levels that help fight off infection in the skin’s tissues. 

DMAE: DMAE is an abbreviated antioxidant membrane stabilizer called dimethylaminoethanol. When applied to the skin it helps to tighten and reduce sagging by improving firmness and elasticity while also brightening. Additionally, DMAE contains antioxidants that fight off free radicals that also contribute to making skin look smoother, tighter and younger. 

DPHP: DPHP is a natural plant-derived lipid agent consisting of hydroxyproline (a natural amino acid essential for skin collagen synthesis) and palmitic acid (natural fatty acid). It provides long lasting firming and moisturizing effects and is known to improve the appearance of wrinkles by stimulating the synthesis of collagen fibers, inhibiting age-promoting elastase enzymes and dissolving free radicals. DPHP helps to maintain overall integrity of the skin barrier.

Essential Oils: Essential oils are a natural oil typically obtained by distillation and having the characteristic fragrance of the plant of other source from which it is extracted. 

Edelweiss Extract: Edelweiss extracts have a high concentration of flavonoids and phenolic acid that counteract UV-induced damage, making it an ideal ingredient in sunscreens. It is loaded with antioxidants that scrub harmful free radicals and help combat signs of aging. Edelweiss is also an anti-inflammatory and has a high concentration of leontopodic acids A and B that stimulate production of hyaluronic acid and prevent collagen degradation, thus reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. 

Enzymes: Fruit based enzymes are used in skin care for their exfoliation and anti-inflammatory properties. The upper layer of the skin is mostly made of dead skin cells containing keratin protein. The enzymes work by breaking down the keratin protein, resulting in smoother skin. Fruit enzymes can protect against sun damage, environmental pollutants and even acne. Common fruit enzymes are papaya, pineapple or blueberry.

Fennel Peptides: Fennel peptides have anti-redness and anti-blemish properties. Its unique cell structure improves its ability to penetrate skin making its effects more potent. It contains a large amount of antioxidant peptides that help protect the skin from further damage, in addition to rejuvenating the skin. Rich in vitamins A, C, and E, fennel peptides also enrich and condition the skin leaving it healthy and smooth.

Green Tea Extract: Green tea is used internationally in cosmetics, as it is a rich source of antioxidants such as vitamin C and vitamin E. Green tea extract is hailed for its ability to help reduce the signs of aging caused by environmental factors. It is also known to help improve the signs of sun damage and is an anti-inflammatory agent. Studies have shown that skin has measurably more elastic tissue content after continuous application of products that contained green tea extract.

Goji Extract: Goji berries are antioxidant powerhouses that are full of nutrients, amino acids, minerals, iron, zinc, carotenoids and polysaccharides making it a powerful anti-aging ingredient to any skin care product. The extract helps firm, tighten and plump the appearance of skin, improving tone, texture and hydration.

Hibiscus Flower Extract: Coined as “the botox plant”, Hibiscus is one of the most powerful anti-aging plants out there. It’s known for increasing skin elasticity to give a stunning natural youth-boost. Hibiscus is a natural source of alpha hydroxy acids, which help exfoliate, control oil and unclog pores. Hibiscus flower extract combats the aging process by inhibiting the enzyme elastase, which is responsible for breaking down elastin, to help firm and lift the skin. Lastly hibiscus has a high mucilage content, making it a great skin moisturizer. 

Honey: Honey is full of antioxidants. It repairs cells in deep layers of the skin. Honey is a natural moisturizer. When applied topically to the skin, honey is able to naturally retain moisture and store it on the skin to keep it hydrated. 

Hyaluronic Acid: Pure vegan hyaluronic acid is the best hydrating ingredient. It is a natural polysaccharide (sugar molecule) that occurs in skin, joints and connective tissues. It is responsible for tissue hydration, stability, and lubrication. Hyaluronic acid holds 500 times it’s own weight of water. Our formulation has the highest concentration, 3% (typically 1% on the market) and low molecular weight between 8-15 k daltons to ensure deep penetration and optimum hydration.

Jojoba Wax Beads: Jojoba wax beads are used to exfoliate the skin, making it a common ingredient in many cleansers, soaps and scrubs. Jojoba plants are a desert shrub indigenous to southern parts of the U.S. The shrub produces large seeds of wax that’s extracted. The wax is then converted into small beads that provide a gentle exfoliation and do not damage the skin or leave it open for bacteria. 

Jojoba Oil:  For many centuries southeastern Native American tribes have used Jojoba to treat sunburns. The oil acts as a moisturizer and is used in a lot of products because it is very stable.

Kaolin Clay: Kaolin clay’s history dates back thousands of years. It is the most temperate of facial clays, making it perfect for sensitive skin types. It’s gentle absorptive properties do not over dry or pucker the skin during use. Kaolin clay is effective at drawing impurities to the surface and stimulating circulation to the area of application.

Leucidal: Leucidal is a natural mild preservative derived from radishes with antimicrobial properties that can safely and effective extend the shelf life of skin care products.

Manuka Essential Oil: Manuka oil is an antibacterial, anti-fungal, antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory ingredient. It is great at treating damaged skin and scarring caused by acne, as it works to promote the growth and regeneration of fresh skin cells. Manuka oil is 100 times stronger than manuka honey and 30 times stronger than tea tree oil when compared gram for gram.

Matrixyl 3000 Peptide: Matrixyl 3000 peptide boosts collagen production to treat the root causes of aging. The primary ingredient in matrixyl 3000 are two relatively new peptides, called palmitoyl-tripeptide and palmitoyl-oligopeptide. These two peptides work to mimic the appearance of broken down collagen, encouraging the body’s response to produce more collagen and elastin.  

Mullberry Root Extract: Grown on trees in the warm regions of Asia, Africa and America, mulberry root extract is rich in antioxidants and is known to help clear and rejuvenate the skin.  It has also been proven to lighten age spots and uneven skin tone. 

MSM: MSM is a sulfur compound that has an anti-inflammatory and skin repairing qualities useful for conditions like eczema, acne and psoriasis. It also helps smooth and soften acne scars and speed up the healing of existing lesions. MSM helps make the skin cells more permeable, and therefore more absorbent and receptive to hydration. It helps other ingredients in skin care products gain entry to the skin cells.

Neroli Oil: Neroli oil helps improve skin health by regenerating and maintaining the skin’s elaticity, preventing the appearance of stretch marks, banishing acne, reducing the appearance of scars and helping heal broken capillaries. It is produced by steam distilling the fragrant flowers of the bitter orange tree which is cultivated in India, African and the Himalayas. 

Neem Seed Oil:  High in antioxidants, neem oil has been used as a remedy for acne due to its aspirin-like compound that helps rid the skin of bacteria. It also helps reduce redness and inflammation. Neem oil’s high fatty-acid content is also said to prevent and treat scars from acne, as well as smooth wrinkles, stimulate collagen, relieve dry skin and reduce eczema.

Oat Extract:  Oat extract is beneficial for sensitive skin conditions, providing a soothing, comforting effect while enhancing the protective barrier of the skin without leaving a film.

Oxygen Plasma-  Oxygen plasma is excellent for any skin irritation, including eczema, burns and sunburns. It kills bacteria causing acne, rosacea, triggers the formation of collagen and elastin and allowed much better product penetration thus increasing their effectiveness. Oxygen plasma is a complex carbon molecule that “mimics” the blood’s ability to carry oxygen and active substances into the cells.

Rosewater:  Rosewater has anti-inflammatory properties that aid in reducing redness and irritation in the skin. Its anti bacterial properties help to remove oil and dirt, leaving pores unclogged and clean. The smell of roses is said to be a powerful mood enhancer, reducing feelings of anxiety and promoting emotional wellbeing. 

Rosehip Seed Oil: Rosehip seed oil is full of vitamins, antioxidants and essential fatty acids that are known to correct dark spots and hydrate dry, itchy skin, all while reducing scars and fine lines. 

Rhassoul Clay: Rhassoul clay helps increase skin elasticity, even skin tone, reduce blemishes and blackheads, as well as dryness and flakiness. It is sourced from the Atlas Mountains in Morocco and can only be found under this specific mountain range. It is formed by a natural combination of volcanic activity and geothermal changes.

Saffron Stem Cell: Saffron stem cell is celebrated for its antioxidant properties and is ideal for anti-aging and antimicrobial abilities. Research shows that plant stem cells can slow aging by defending against extrinsic stress. Saffron has been widely used as a spice and as a medicinal plant in Mediterranean and subtropical regions.

Sesame Oil: Sesame oil is filled with ingredients that give the skin a silky texture. The presence of fatty acids along with linoleic acid makes sesame oil a very effective moisturizer for the skin. It’s rich in vitamin E, D and B complex making it very great for reducing scars and other rashes on the skin. Sesame oil also prevents bacterial infections, prepares damaged skin cells and slows down the signs of aging. 

Sugar Cane Extract: Sugar cane an excellent ingredient in exfoliants and masks. The glycolic acid naturally present in cane sugar removes dead skin cells, dirt and oil that can clog and stretch pores.

Sea Fennel Extract: Often considered the plant alternative to Retinol, sea fennel extract softens the skin, unclogs pores, boosts collagen, reduces fine lines, speeds up cell turnover and evens out skin discoloration and texture. Sea fennel is rich in sea minerals, vitamins A, C, and E, amino acid peptides and polyphenols effectively stimulating skin renewal, as well as increasing collagen and elastin.

White Willow Bark:  White willow bark is known for helping fight acne by aiding exfoliation and reducing inflammation. It boasts anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory and anti-fungal properties and contains salicylic acid. Willow bark is an effective botanical for cleansers as it controls sebum production and helps unclog pores. 

White Tea Extract:  White tea extract contains higher antioxidant levels, anti-aging and skin soothing properties than green tea. It protects skin from damage and the antioxidants reduce oxidative stress to the skin. It also helps with collagen and elastin production.
